Yes, I realize it's been way too long since I've written. I've been a little busy. Yes, we bought a house... not the house from the previous post. That's a LONG story. The condensed version is that, as a HUD home, there was a problem with the main water valve so we weren't able to test the plumbing in the house during the inspection, so we walked away from it. So then we searched for another few couple months, and found a few ones to put offers on, and we didn't get them, and we were distressed and upset... and then on our "This is our last day looking! If we don't get something today then we're done looking for awhile!" day, we found a little place we liked. And we made an offer, and it was accepted. And so now we have a house - for real this time! It's a little smaller than I was hoping, only a 2-bed, 1.5-bath, but it has a lovely yard for the dogs and a great kitchen for me. We have a loft area for my office, and we have a small unfinished basement that Matt is using as an office. But it's our little house, and we are very happy with it!
But work is okay, Matt's work is okay... everything else has been chugging along as normal. The only other thing that I'll quickly mention here (and I swear, I'll write more about it soon!) is that we are happily expecting our first baby in February!
We are incredibly excited and terrified all at the same time. I'm keeping an offline pregnancy journal for now, but I'll give all the "How?! When?! Where?!" information a bit later this week. Right now I've got tacos in the crockpot that need tending to... but since I was getting harassed for not updating this, there's the highlights of our last 4 months!!
