Boring Saturday Night

Well, it's Saturday night and I'm at home relaxing.  I have a feeling I'll need a few more of these before I am ready to start going out like we used to.  The cleanse makes it difficult to go out, seeing as we typically join friends at a local brewery to drink and be merry.  But it's worth it, I suppose.  I'm starting to feel a little better, though my menu this week has been pretty boring.  I've stuck to a basic green salad with quinoa for lunch and a chicken or fish fillet with roasted veggies for dinner.  I'm actually looking forward to starting the "real" cleanse this week just so I have a bit more variety.  The book suggested taking photos each day to see your physical progress, but I haven't decided if I'm going to do that or not.  I'm just waiting for my skin to clear up, which is apparently another "benefit" of doing this cleanse.  The book claims that your acne comes from toxins in your body, and that your skin will be clear and bright after the cleanse... we'll see.

I was so hungry on Days 2 and 3.  I woke up on Day 2 and my stomach felt completely empty, and it grumbled and growled until I had a smoothie that morning.  I've had to snack a little more than that first day, usually an apple or some almonds, but it hasn't been terrible.  The hardest thing is cutting out the late-night snacking, but I suppose that's a good thing.  One of the keys to this cleanse is fasting for a full 12 hours between dinner and breakfast.

Other than that, nothing to report.  Tomorrow is cleaning day, so I'll be busy most of the day, and I need to find a way to motivate myself to get to the grocery store... always a pain in the butt.  But I guess it has to happen.  Mirabelle has her bi-annual dental appointment tomorrow, which I hate.  I know it is safe, but it just makes me nervous putting her under for it.

That's all for now...!
